1 /5 April Kinney: I bought a pendant for my daughter for mothers day plus their lifetime car plan. Just every other pendant in their case, it came with a cheap looking thin chain. The chain has broken 2x before and they fixed it. This time, the chain broke while we were at a family Thanksgiving event. We were lucky to find the pendant but after hours of looking, never found what was left of the chain! I took the pendant in to this Fred meyer jewelry store and asked them to replace the chain as I believed it was coveted under their care plan. What they failed to tell me is the chain was a "complimentary chain" and isnt covered to fix unless I have it!! If it wasnt for a metal detector, she would have lost the pendant completely bc of the cheap chains they use in store!! Now I have to go buy a separate chain and ANOTHER care plan for the new chain??? Not there. Not at Fred meyer jewelry!! Ill go back to Zales in Tacoma. I would rather drive an hour to be treated properly by my favorite jewelry store than buy another cheap product from Fred meyer jewelry. They dont care about the money you. Zales absolutely does!!
